Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the rules and guidelines for using sherpa.sh services. We ve provided plain English summaries to help you understand each section better. When you agree to our Terms of Service you are agreeing to the right column.

General Agreement

The Services shall be used exclusively for lawful purposes. Users are prohibited from transmitting, distributing, or storing any content that violates applicable laws or regulations. This prohibition extends to materials protected by intellectual property rights without proper authorization, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, and trade secret materials. Additionally prohibited are materials that are obscene, defamatory, constitute unlawful threats, or violate export control regulations. Any violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of service.

What it means: You can only use our service for legal purposes. Don't store or distribute anything illegal, copyrighted without permission, or threatening.

Adult Content

Adult content is not allowed. You are not allowed to publish any content that infringes upon the rights of third parties or otherwise violates the law. This includes, in particular, but is not limited to, pornographic or obscene material, extremist content or content that offends common decency, gambling, and material that could seriously endanger the morals of children or young people; this also includes the publication of defamatory content, insults or disparagement of persons or groups of persons.

Acceptable Use

The following activities are prohibited when using our Services (including participation in sherpa.sh Community forums):

  1. Any unlawful activities or content
  2. Security breaches, hacking attempts, or unauthorized access to any systems
  3. Facilitating illegal goods or services
  4. Impersonation or misrepresentation of others, including sherpa.sh
  5. Automated scraping, data mining, or bulk account creation
  6. Circumventing service limits or creating multiple accounts
  7. Using bots, scripts, or automated methods to access our services
  8. Spam, unsolicited messages, clickbait, or fraudulent schemes
  9. Deepfakes or synthetic media promoting illegal activities
  10. Cloning or reproducing sherpa.sh functionality
  11. Using our platform as a file hosting or download service
  12. Reselling, transferring, or framing our services
  13. Username squatting or trading of account names
  14. Creating excessive load or disrupting our services
  15. Using our infrastructure for VPNs, proxies, or VPS services
  16. Publishing benchmark results without complete methodology
  17. Cryptocurrency mining
  18. Live video streaming without prior written approval
What it means: Don't misuse our platform. This includes: no hacking, impersonation, spam, automated abuse, deepfakes, or illegal activities. Don't create multiple accounts, scrape data, or use bots. No cryptocurrency mining, unauthorized live streaming, or using us as a file hosting service (like MegaUpload). We'll terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Enforcement and Discretion

sherpa.sh has sole discretion in determining violations of these terms. Any violation may result in immediate account termination, removal of all applications and deployments, and forfeiture of any remaining subscription period, without refund.

You may not use our Services in connection with content that we deem objectionable, including hate speech, discriminatory content, or illegal material. You agree to fully indemnify sherpa.sh (including legal fees) against any third-party claims arising from your violation of these terms or unauthorized use of our Services.

While we have no obligation to monitor Service usage, we employ manual and automated methods to detect abuse patterns. We reserve the right to investigate potential violations and may terminate your access if we determine, or our infrastructure providers require us to address, any violation of these terms, including our Acceptable Use Policy and DMCA Policy.

What it means: We have the final say on what counts as a violation of our terms. If you break the rules, we can terminate your account and delete all your applications. Don't use our service for objectionable content or hate speech. We can monitor service usage and take action if we find violations. You're responsible for any legal costs if third parties make claims against us because of your actions.

DMCA Policy

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Accounts repeatedly violating copyright will be terminated without refund. We ll remove infringing content when properly notified.

Submit DMCA takedown notices to support+dmca@sherpa.sh with:

  • Your contact details (email, phone, address)
  • Description of your copyrighted work
  • Location of the infringing content on our service
  • Statement that you believe the use is unauthorized
  • Statement that you re the rights holder or authorized agent
  • Electronic or physical signature
  • Statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate

False DMCA claims may result in liability. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice.

What it means: If someone's using our service to share your copyrighted content without permission, tell us at support+dmca@sherpa.sh with proof it's yours. We'll take it down. Repeat offenders lose their accounts. Don't file false claims -
